Pete Harratt
is a talented local player who is very popular on the Midlands jazz scene
although he has played at many national festivals and venues. Duncan
Heining, a national jazz critic who writes for 'JazzWise' and 'Jazz UK'
said of him 'He is good enough to make it on the London scene. A very
good player indeed.' Pete counts among his influences Stan Getz, Art
Pepper Sonny Rollins and many of the player from the 1950s and 1960s era
although he plays music from a wide range including traditional jazz (he
plays with a traditional jazz marching band in Preston) to some modern
composers and players such as Alan Barnes and Wynton Marsalis
Pete Houghton
is a very accomplished pianist moving between classical and jazz playing
and is well known on the Leicester music scene.
Paula Robinson
is an excellent local bassist who has backed many national players in her
career including Alan Barnes and numerous singers.
Dave Marriott
has a good reputation as a drummer who can cover most styles. He has
played with big bands and small group work with a variety of local and
national artists.
