Mike Carr (Organ) We are very proud to welcome back the unique Mike Carr to our Sunday lunchtime sessions at the Angel Hotel. He is surely the No1 Jazz Organist in the UK having played with many stars of the UK Jazz scene including Ronnie Scott, Dick Morrisey, John McLaughlin, Jim Mullen and Pete King to name but a few. He has also appeared with a great many US names including Dizzy Gillispie, Coleman Hawkins, Johny Griffin and Buddy Tate. He is firmly grounded in the Bepop Tradition and has a number of excellent CDs under his own name. Last season he brought to Market Harborough his Blue Note Band which was one of our high points.
